The Radio Transceiver Module PCB interfaces to all WiSA Modules (eg Control 8, Hybrid 4/4, Serial) to provide a Radio (RF) Link between the Field Satellites and the Base Station.
The Radio Transceiver will transmit signals to 5km.** while hopping (also known as Store and Forward) can be utilised to provide further distances. In Queensland distances of 34kms has been achieved without issue. Different Modules of frequencies for other Countries are plugged in to the radio PCB to achieve standard operations of free to air in those regions.
The Radio Transceiver is included in other WiSA product packages such as the WiSA Valve Radio Module, Pump shed Module, WiSA Radio Base Station and Field Satellite units.
** Actual transmission distance is dependant on a number of factors, including terrain. 5km assumes line of sight between radios.
We have designed other Radio PCB's for Specific Countries such as the USA, Middle East, Europe, UK, China and Asia. The equipment is robust and operates in differing atmospheric conditions.
